Engineered roof systems

Specifically engineered and designed high-performance roof system solutions to meet project requirements — structural, thermal, acoustic and condensation performance assessed for every project.

Project: Lyttelton Port Company Workshop

System attributes

Roof membrane and metal skin performance

Thermal performance

Systems can be designed to meet the applicable NCC energy efficiency requirements and Australian climate zone conditions, achieving insulation values of up to R7.

Acoustic performance

High levels of acoustic control through acoustic board layers, high-density roof boards, insulation, and perforated LinerDeck options to manage interior reverberation.

Durability

RoofLogic systems use high-performance components with proven in-service histories, backed by a full system warranty for long-term reliability.

Structurally tested system

Continuous and comprehensive structural testing verifies the performance and limitations of complete RoofLogic systems.

Manage condensation risk

Detailed thermal and hygrothermal modelling is undertaken for each project to confirm the specified system will control condensation risk and reduce the potential for mould or corrosion.

Fire performance

RoofLogic high-performance roof systems are tested to establish fire performance.

Programme advantages

Installing the LinerDeck early in the build sequence provides immediate weather protection to the interior, improving programme certainty and site health and safety.

Corrosion zones

All roof membrane and metal skin systems can go up to ISO Category 5 corrosion zones (severe marine environments).

Weathertightness

Weathertightness is a primary consideration in the design of every RoofLogic roof system. Each system is developed with project-specific detailing and installation requirements to support durable weather protection when installed by an approved roofing contractor in accordance with RoofLogic documentation and applicable Australian codes and standards.

FiberthermX

Suitable applications: Metal skin high-performance roof system for education buildings, retail and large area roofs.

The RoofLogic FiberthermX system is a proven commercial roofing solution that provides a range of important advantages in terms of design, performance and construction.

Engineered to meet wind (positive and negative), snow, and seismic design loads (SLS and ULS), FiberthermX is the culmination of 10 years of Research & Development. At the heart of the FiberthermX system is the structural post and rail assembly that is used to separate the outer skin from the internal liner deck.

By incorporating the structural rail assembly, the FiberthermX system optimises the utilisation of low-density Glass Wool insulation, eliminating thermal breaks and cold bridging that are common flaws in conventional roof assemblies.

Ultratherm MSR

Suitable applications: Metal skin high-performance roof system for education buildings, high-end insulated metal roofs and buildings with complex geometries.

Insulated metal skin high-performance roof system assembly providing thermal, acoustic and structural performance to meet the precise project requirements. Install the Ultratherm MSR system over RoofLogic's engineered structural liner deck or standard plywood and concrete substrates.

RoofLogic Ultratherm MSR is a proven commercial roofing solution that provides the highest levels of thermal and acoustic performance. RoofLogic offers tailored system designs for each project, carefully selecting components to ensure the installed system meets the client's requirements — structural, thermal and acoustic aspects are evaluated, and project-specific hygrothermal analysis mitigates condensation, mould and corrosion risk.

Over the past decade, Ultratherm MSR has seen widespread installation across New Zealand, covering tens of thousands of square metres, with feedback from designers and their clients unanimous: a robust roof system that delivers exceptional weathertightness while enhancing thermal and acoustic performance.

Ultratherm Xtreme

Suitable applications: Membrane high-performance roof systems for high-end buildings, low pitch.

Insulated membrane roof assembly providing thermal, acoustic and structural performance to meet the precise project requirements. Install the Ultratherm Xtreme system over RoofLogic's engineered structural base deck or standard plywood and concrete substrates.

Engineers have meticulously designed each component to deliver the utmost levels of performance. RL BaseDeck is the only steel base deck that has undergone rigorous testing in New Zealand and Australia for wind uplift, point load, and fastener pull-out resistance. RL PIR Board provides exceptional thermal performance and improved impact resistance, with compressive strength twice that of most other PIR products on the market.

Ultratherm Xtreme is a commercial membrane roofing solution providing superior thermal and acoustic performance and extreme durability with Fibertite KEE membrane and Derbigum modified bitumen membrane. For non high-performance roof system applications, the membranes can be adhered to a range of substrates including concrete or ply.

Recover

Suitable applications: Existing membrane and metal skin roofs on occupied buildings.

FiberthermX, Ultratherm Xtreme and Ultratherm MSR are all available as Recover Systems — a suite of re-roofing solutions that allows the refreshing of existing roof assemblies. RoofLogic designs and engineers Recover systems to provide long-term durability, weathertightness, and enhanced thermal and acoustic performance. The simplification of the re-roofing process with a fully warranted system solution has made Recover our most popular system.

FiberthermX Recover System

The FiberthermX Recover System constructs over existing metal roofing iron using the Post & Rail System with Glasswool insulation, enabling the refreshing of existing roof assemblies.

FiberthermX Recover System exploded diagram
Non-Intrusive

Unlike typical re-roofing projects, the FiberthermX Recover System enables the building's occupants and activities to remain undisturbed, requiring no relocation.

Condensation Management

RoofLogic develops the system and provides project-specific technical support, while installation is carried out by an approved roofing contractor in accordance with RoofLogic requirements. This coordinated approach helps manage condensation risk throughout the service life of the roof system.

Note: RoofLogic Australia does not supply the liner deck or external roof sheeting. These profiles are to be selected and supplied by the roofing contractor or project team and are subject to RoofLogic review for compatibility with the FiberthermX system.

Recover flexibility

Install over what is already there

RoofLogic Recover systems offer complete flexibility, providing a simple, cost-effective, long-term solution where a traditional re-roof would have been problematic.

Existing trough section roofing

Low pitch, damage, poor detailing and complex junctions all compromise weathertightness. RoofLogic examines the existing roof and develops a structural scheme for a robust, warrantable Recover system.

Existing concrete substrates

Existing membranes can be left in situ and often re-purposed as the vapour control layer. Roof Board HD is mechanically attached to the substrate on a fixing pattern designed for project wind loads.

Existing timber substrates

The same approach applies over timber, taking the adhesive bond of the existing membrane out of the equation and providing certainty of structural performance.
